Troubleshooting Chrome Extension Issues

If you experience bugs or glitches while using the 100Hires Chrome extension, follow these troubleshooting steps before contacting support.

Step 1: Update the Chrome extension

Outdated extensions can cause unexpected behavior. Make sure you have the latest version:

  1. Go to chrome://extensions/
  2. Enable Developer mode in the top right
  3. Click the Update button
  4. Restart Chrome if prompted

The extension should auto-update within a few hours of a new release, but manually updating ensures you have the latest version.

Step 2: Disable other extensions

Other Chrome extensions can interfere with 100Hires. To test this:

  1. Go to chrome://extensions/
  2. Disable all extensions except 100Hires Chrome extension
  3. Try to reproduce the issue

If the problem disappears, re-enable your other extensions one by one to identify which one causes the conflict.

Step 3: Clear browser cache and cookies

Cached data can cause conflicts. Clear your browser cache:

  1. Go to chrome://settings/clearBrowserData
  2. Select Time range: Last 24 hours
  3. Check **Cached images and files **![](https://storage.crisp.chat/users/helpdesk/website/-/4/f/a/a/4faab8f2b2ab0400/troubleshooting-chrome-extensi_1bf7h5f.png)
  4. Click Delete data
  5. Restart Chrome and test the extension

Step 4: Reinstall the extension

If issues persist, reinstall the extension:

  1. Go to chrome://extensions/
  2. Find 100Hires Chrome extension
  3. Click Remove
  4. Visit the Chrome Web Store
  5. Search for "100Hires"
  6. Click Add to Chrome
  7. Grant the necessary permissions

Step 5: Check browser permissions

Ensure the extension has required permissions:

  1. Go to chrome://extensions/
  2. Find 100Hires Chrome extension
  3. Click Details
  4. Verify Site access is set to "On all sites" or "On specific sites"
  5. Check that all permissions are granted
