Troubleshooting Chrome Extension Issues


If you experience bugs or glitches while using the 100Hires Chrome extension, follow these troubleshooting steps before contacting support.


Step 1: Update the Chrome extension


Outdated extensions can cause unexpected behavior. Make sure you have the latest version:


  1. Go to chrome://extensions/
  2. Enable Developer mode in the top right Troubleshooting Chrome Extension Issues: Step 1: Update the Chrome extension
  3. Click the Update button
  4. Restart Chrome if prompted


The extension should auto-update within a few hours of a new release, but manually updating ensures you have the latest version.


Step 2: Disable other extensions


Other Chrome extensions can interfere with 100Hires. To test this:


  1. Go to chrome://extensions/
  2. Disable all extensions except 100Hires Chrome extension
  3. Try to reproduce the issue


If the problem disappears, re-enable your other extensions one by one to identify which one causes the conflict.


Step 3: Clear browser cache and cookies


Cached data can cause conflicts. Clear your browser cache:


  1. Go to chrome://settings/clearBrowserData
  2. Select Time range: Last 24 hours

  4. Click Delete data
  5. Restart Chrome and test the extension


Step 4: Reinstall the extension


If issues persist, reinstall the extension:


  1. Go to chrome://extensions/
  2. Find 100Hires Chrome extension
  3. Click Remove
  4. Visit the Chrome Web Store
  5. Search for "100Hires"
  6. Click Add to Chrome
  7. Grant the necessary permissions


Step 5: Check browser permissions


Ensure the extension has required permissions:


  1. Go to chrome://extensions/
  2. Find 100Hires Chrome extension
  3. Click Details

  5. Check that all permissions are granted
