This article explains how source reports help you track where candidates come from and optimize your recruiting spend. Use source reports to identify which job boards and channels bring the most qualified candidates, then adjust your hiring strategy accordingly.

What source reports show
The source report displays:
- Number of candidates from each source
- Distribution across job boards
- Performance by time period
- Source effectiveness
Report controls
Date range
Select your reporting period:
- Today
- Yesterday
- Last 7 days
- Last 30 days
- Last 3 months
- Last 6 months
- Last 12 months
- Custom date range
Time grouping
View data by:
- Per day
- Per week
Job filter
- View all jobs combined
- Filter by specific job
Reading the report
Source breakdown
Each row shows:
- Source name (e.g., Indeed, LinkedIn, Career Site)
- Number of candidates
- Percentage of total
Trend data
The chart displays:
- Candidates over time
- Source comparison
- Seasonal patterns
