Free Trial Guide: Limits, Verification, and What Happens After 10 Candidates
Free Trial Guide: Limits, Verification, and What Happens After 10 Candidates
The 100Hires free trial lets you test the hiring workflow before subscribing. Trial job-board posting has verification and applicant limits, so plan the test around one real role.
Is there a free plan? Is 100Hires free?
There is no forever-free plan, but you can start for free with a free trial: post one job and review up to 10 candidates, no credit card required. Posting a job on the free trial requires a quick verification, usually within 72 hours.
After the trial you move to a paid plan. For a side-by-side of what each tier includes (Start, Advanced, Pro), see Start vs Advanced vs Pro: Which Plan Do I Need.
What you can test
During the trial, you can create a job, configure the workflow, review candidates, test automations, and see how the ATS fits your hiring process. Job-board posting requires verification before the job goes live on boards.

Verification queue
Free-trial jobs go through verification before posting to job boards. Verification helps protect job seekers and job-board partners from fake or abusive postings.

Standard free-trial verification can take up to 72 hours. Paid plans receive priority handling in the verification queue.
The 10-candidate limit
A verified trial job can receive up to 10 applicants. After the job reaches 10 applicants, it automatically moves to draft and stops receiving new free-trial applications from job boards.

You keep the candidate records already received. You can review them, move them through stages, add notes, and evaluate whether 100Hires fits your process.
What happens after the limit
To keep posting and receiving candidates, subscribe from Settings > Billing.

After subscribing, job posting and applicant limits depend on the plan you choose. If you are unsure which plan fits your hiring volume, contact support through the in-app chat.
Important notes
- Editing a verified trial job can send it back to verification.
- Do not create extra accounts to bypass trial limits.
- Staffing agencies may require additional verification.
- Use a real company profile and accurate job details to avoid verification delays.
Tips for a useful trial
- Test with one role you actually plan to hire for.
- Finish the job description before submitting for verification.
- Add application questions before traffic starts.
- Connect email and calendar if you want to test the full workflow.
- Review the first 10 candidates end to end before deciding on a plan.
