How to Post Jobs on Indeed

When you create a public job in 100Hires, it automatically gets distributed to Indeed along with other job boards. Follow these guidelines to ensure your job posts successfully and stays visible.

Requirements for Free Indeed Posting

Use specific city locations: Indeed requires jobs to have a specific city location. Jobs with non-city locations (state-only, region, or country) must be sponsored to go live.

Keep jobs posted for 30+ days: Jobs must stay in one location for at least 30 days. Reposting the same job to the same location in less than 30 days is considered "location blasting" and gets flagged by Indeed.

Direct employers only: Staffing and recruiting agencies cannot post free jobs on Indeed. Agency jobs require sponsorship.

How to Post

1. Go to Jobs and create a new job or open an existing one
2. Set the job status to Public
3. Add a specific city and country as the job location (e.g., "Austin, TX, USA" not just "Texas")
4. Go to the Find Candidates tab
5. Make sure the Indeed toggle is enabled

Timeline and Verification

First-time posting: Your first job requires company verification by Indeed, which takes 24-48 hours. This is a one-time process.

Subsequent jobs: After verification, new jobs typically appear on Indeed within a few hours of publishing.

If your job doesn't appear: Contact our support team at support@100hires.com. Some cases require additional action from our side to coordinate with Indeed. This is common for smaller companies that haven't posted on Indeed before.

When Sponsorship Is Required

You must sponsor your Indeed job if:

• Your company is a staffing or recruiting agency
• Your job location is not a specific city
• You want more visibility and applications than free posting provides
• Your job is in a competitive market with many similar listings

Tips for Better Results

Complete your job details: Fill in salary range, employment type, and other optional fields on the Options tab. More complete listings perform better on Indeed.

Write clear job descriptions: Include specific requirements, responsibilities, and benefits. Indeed's algorithm favors detailed, well-structured listings.

Verify your company: After your company is verified by our team, your jobs will be automatically distributed to Indeed and other free job boards.
