How to @Mention Colleagues in Discussions

You can tag your colleagues in discussion notes. When you mention someone using the @ symbol, they receive an email notification with your note and a direct link to the candidate profile or job.

Candidate discussions:

  • Ask a colleague for their opinion on a candidate
  • Request a specific team member to review an application
  • Share important feedback after an interview
  • Coordinate next steps with hiring managers

Job notes:

  • Alert team members about job posting updates
  • Assign specific tasks related to a job opening
  • Share candidate pipeline insights
  • Coordinate sourcing strategies

Where to Use @Mentions

You can mention colleagues in two places:

  1. Candidate Profile: In the Discussions tab on any candidate's profile
  2. Job Notes: In the Notes tab of any job

How to Mention a Colleague

  1. Type the @ symbol in the discussion or note field
  2. Start typing your colleague's name
  3. Select the colleague from the dropdown list
  4. Write your message
  5. Save the note

Your colleague will receive an email notification containing:

  • Your discussion note
  • A direct link to the candidate profile or job

Managing @Mention Notifications

If you receive too many notifications or want to turn them off temporarily:

  1. Go to Settings / Notifications
  2. Find the setting "When you are @mentioned in discussions"
  3. Toggle the setting on or off

You can turn this setting back on at any time to resume receiving @mention notifications.
