How to @Mention Colleagues in Discussions


You can tag your colleagues in discussion notes. When you mention someone using the @ symbol, they receive an email notification with your note and a direct link to the candidate profile or job.



Candidate discussions:

  • Ask a colleague for their opinion on a candidate
  • Request a specific team member to review an application
  • Share important feedback after an interview
  • Coordinate next steps with hiring managers


Job notes:

  • Alert team members about job posting updates
  • Assign specific tasks related to a job opening
  • Share candidate pipeline insights
  • Coordinate sourcing strategies


Where to Use @Mentions


You can mention colleagues in two places:


  1. Candidate Profile: In the Discussions tab on any candidate's profile
  2. Job Notes: In the Notes tab of any job


How to Mention a Colleague


  1. Type the @ symbol in the discussion or note field
  2. Start typing your colleague's name
  3. Select the colleague from the dropdown list How to @Mention Colleagues in Discussions: How to Mention a Colleague
  4. Write your message How to @Mention Colleagues in Discussions: How to Mention a Colleague
  5. Save the note


Your colleague will receive an email notification containing:

  • Your discussion note
  • A direct link to the candidate profile or job


Managing @Mention Notifications


If you receive too many notifications or want to turn them off temporarily:


  1. Go to Settings / Notifications
  2. Find the setting "When you are @mentioned in discussions" How to @Mention Colleagues in Discussions: Managing @Mention Notifications
  3. Toggle the setting on or off


You can turn this setting back on at any time to resume receiving @mention notifications.
