How to Set Up Nurture Campaigns

This article explains how to set up nurture campaigns in 100Hires. Use nurture campaigns to create automated multi-step sequences that follow up with candidates over time.


What are nurture campaigns


Nurture campaigns are automated sequences that:

  • Send multiple emails over days or weeks
  • Include follow-ups if candidates don't respond
  • Can include SMS, tasks, and other actions
  • Stop automatically when candidates reply


Creating a nurture campaign


  1. Go to Settings / Nurture Campaigns
  2. Click Add nurtute campaign
  3. Name your campaign
  4. Add steps (emails, SMS, tasks)
  5. Set timing between steps
  6. Configure schedule (days and hours)
  7. Save


Campaign steps


Email step


  • Choose email template
  • Set delay from previous step
  • Option: Send as new thread or reply


SMS step


  • Choose SMS template
  • Requires Twilio integration
  • Best for urgent follow-ups


Action step


  • Move to stage
  • Assign tag
  • Assign task
  • Useful for routing or alerts


Timing and scheduling


Delays between steps


Set how long to wait between steps:

  • Minutes
  • Hours
  • Days


Work schedule


Define when emails can be sent:

  • Days of week (e.g., Monday-Friday)
  • Hours (e.g., 9 AM - 4 PM)
  • System uses candidate's timezone if location is known


Example timing


  1. Initial email: Immediately
  2. Follow-up 1: 3 days later
  3. Follow-up 2: 5 days later
  4. Final follow-up: 7 days later


Response handling


Enable "If candidate responds, move to stage" to:

  • Automatically stop the campaign
  • Move responding candidates to a different stage
  • Route engaged candidates for immediate attention


Using in automations


  1. Open a job's Workflow tab
  2. Click bolt icon on a stage
  3. Add Nurture Campaign automation
  4. Select your campaign
  5. Candidates entering this stage join the campaign
