How to Sponsor Jobs on LinkedIn
When you want to promote a job on LinkedIn beyond the free organic listing, you have three options. We help with all three.
Option 1: LinkedIn Job Slots (recommended for active hiring)
LinkedIn Job Slots is LinkedIn's paid hiring product inside LinkedIn Recruiter. Each Slot actively promotes one job to relevant LinkedIn members. LinkedIn benchmarks Job Slots at around 3x the qualified-applicant volume of free organic listings. See LinkedIn product comparison.
Available on Pro plan or higher.
How to enable:
- Buy Job Slots directly from LinkedIn through your LinkedIn account manager. This is a separate contract with LinkedIn - typically starts at $200+ per slot per month.
- In 100Hires, open the job you want to promote.
- Go to the Find Candidates tab.
- Toggle on LinkedIn Job Slots in the Premium placement section.
- Send a quick message to support@100hires.com with the subject "Enable LinkedIn Job Slots for job #{your job ID}".
We take it from there and connect your 100Hires job to the Job Slots you purchased from LinkedIn. Your job starts getting active LinkedIn promotion within a few business days.
Option 2: LinkedIn Ads (paid promotion of a single job)
LinkedIn Ads lets you put paid spend behind one specific job so it appears as a sponsored post in front of relevant LinkedIn members. This is LinkedIn's pay-per-click ad format applied to a single job post.
Available on Pro plan or higher.
How billing works: LinkedIn charges your own LinkedIn ad account directly using the payment method on file there. We do not act as a payment middleman, so there is no top-up or prepaid wallet on the 100Hires side.
How to enable:
- In 100Hires, open the job.
- Go to the Find Candidates tab.
- Toggle on LinkedIn Ads in the Premium placement section.
- Send a message to support@100hires.com with the subject "Enable LinkedIn Ads for job #{your job ID}".
We will reply with the LinkedIn authorization link for your ad account and a short scoping call to agree on budget and audience targeting.
Option 3: DIY with a trackable apply link
If you prefer to drive the LinkedIn campaign yourself in LinkedIn Campaign Manager, you can use a 100Hires trackable apply link so applications still flow into your 100Hires pipeline with proper source attribution. This option is available on every plan.
Step 1: Create a trackable link in 100Hires
- Go to your job in 100Hires.
- Open the Find Candidates tab.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page.

- Generate a trackable link.

- Copy this link - you'll use it when posting on LinkedIn.
Step 2: Post and sponsor your job on LinkedIn
- Go to LinkedIn and create a new job post.
- Fill in your job details (title, description, requirements).
- When choosing how to manage applicants, select "On an external website".

- Paste your 100Hires trackable link as the website address.
- Complete your job posting.
- After posting, choose to sponsor it through LinkedIn Campaign Manager. Set your budget and targeting, then launch the campaign.
How applications flow back to 100Hires
Whichever option you use:
- Candidates click Apply on LinkedIn and land on your 100Hires application page.
- Applications appear in your 100Hires pipeline immediately.
- Automations apply to LinkedIn candidates the same way they do to any other source.
- Source attribution shows LinkedIn so you can measure ROI per channel.
When to use sponsorship on LinkedIn
Staffing and recruiting agencies (required): Per LinkedIn's global job posting policy, staffing and recruiting agencies cannot post jobs for free on LinkedIn at all. Sponsorship through Job Slots or LinkedIn Ads is mandatory.
On-site and office-based positions: On-site roles typically receive fewer applications than remote roles. Sponsorship increases reach for these positions.
Competitive talent markets: For roles in markets with high competition for talent or many similar job postings, sponsorship lifts visibility above the organic noise.
