Understanding Job Statuses
Job status controls where your job appears and whether candidates can apply.
Available Statuses

Status Details
Draft
Use for jobs you're still working on. Not visible to anyone outside your team.
Public
The job is live and accepting applications. Appears on:
- Your career site
- Enabled job boards (Indeed, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Google Jobs
Unlisted
Job is not visible on your career site or job boards, but anyone with the direct application link can apply. Useful for:
- Confidential searches
- Referral-only positions
- Testing before public launch
Internal Use
Only people with access to your company's internal application portal can apply. Not visible externally.
Filled
Indicates the position has been filled. Job remains visible on your career site marked as closed, and is removed from job boards.
Scheduled
Job will automatically become Public at a specified date and time. Use this to:
- Prepare jobs in advance
- Stagger launches across time zones
- Coordinate announcements
Talent Pool
Not posted anywhere. Use for building candidate pools for future positions without active applications.
Archived
Removes the job from active lists. Candidate data is preserved. Use when:
- Hiring is paused
- Position is cancelled
- Job is no longer relevant
Changing status
- Open the job
- Go to the Details tab
- Find the Status dropdown

- Select the new status
- Click Save
Status changes to job boards may take:
- Indeed: Up to 1 hour
- LinkedIn: Up to 24 hours
