How to Create a LinkedIn Company Page for Job Posting

Your jobs cannot reach LinkedIn until your business has a LinkedIn Company Page. LinkedIn matches every incoming job to a Page, and a job with no Page behind it is rejected before anyone sees it. If you already have a Page, skip to How to Set Up Your LinkedIn Company Page for Job Posting instead.

This takes about ten minutes, and you only do it once.

Before you start

You need a personal LinkedIn profile that is at least a few days old and has a photo and some connections. LinkedIn blocks Page creation from brand-new or empty profiles.

Check first whether a Page already exists for your business. Search your company name in the LinkedIn search bar and open the Companies tab. Sometimes a Page was created years ago by a former employee and simply forgotten. If you find one, you do not need a new Page. Ask LinkedIn to give you admin access instead: open the Page, select More, then Request admin access.

Step 1: Open the Page creation form

Go to linkedin.com/company/setup/new.

You can also reach it from anywhere on LinkedIn: click the For Business grid icon in the top navigation bar, then choose Create a Company Page.

You will be asked to choose a page type. Pick Company, which covers small, medium and large businesses. Showcase page is for a sub-brand of a Page you already own, and Educational institution is for schools and universities. Neither of those is what you want here.

Step 2: Fill in the company details

The form asks for the following. Fields marked with an asterisk are required by LinkedIn.

  • Name - your business name exactly as you want candidates to see it. This is the name that appears on every job you post, so use your trading name, not an internal abbreviation.
  • linkedin.com/company/ - your public Page address. LinkedIn suggests one from your name; keep it short and recognisable.
  • Website - your company website. Use the same domain as your work email if you can, because LinkedIn cross-checks the two.
  • Industry - start typing and pick the closest match from the list.
  • Organization size and Organization type - pick from the dropdowns.
  • Logo - 300 x 300px or larger, JPG, JPEG or PNG. Upload it now rather than later: a Page with no logo looks abandoned to candidates, and 100Hires also needs a logo on your side before it will send jobs out.
  • Tagline - up to 120 characters describing what your business does.

A live preview of your Page appears beside the form as you type.

Last, tick the verification box confirming you are an authorised representative of the organization, then select Create page.

Step 3: Turn on basic job posting and connect 100Hires

Do not skip this step. Since the end of March 2026, LinkedIn will not accept jobs from an applicant tracking system until a Page admin switches this on. It is the single most common reason a customer's jobs never appear on LinkedIn, and from the outside it looks like a 100Hires problem rather than a LinkedIn setting.

On your new Page, open Settings, then Job posting, and:

  1. Switch Enable basic job posting to On.
  2. Click + Connect ATS.
  3. Select 100Hires from the list and confirm.

A 44-second video walkthrough of these three clicks is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J4n35F_rfZk

Note that LinkedIn shows the job posting settings only to super admins of a Page. As the person who created the Page you are automatically a super admin, so you will see it. If a colleague created the Page and cannot find this section, they are probably a content admin - check under Admin tools, Settings, Manage admins.

Step 4: Send us the Page URL

Once the Page is live, send your account manager the full Page address, for example https://www.linkedin.com/company/your-company. We store the matching LinkedIn Company ID against your account so your jobs are attributed to the right employer.

This matters more than it sounds: once LinkedIn has ingested a job under a Company ID, that ID cannot be changed without manual intervention from LinkedIn. Getting it right before your first job goes out saves a great deal of trouble later.

Step 5: Fill the Page out before your first job goes live

An empty Page will technically accept jobs, but candidates who click through and find nothing tend not to apply. Before your first posting, add:

  • The About section, describing what your company does.
  • A cover image.
  • A first post, so the Page does not look dormant.
  • Your team, by asking colleagues to list your company as their employer. LinkedIn shows the count as "associated members", and candidates read it as a sign the business is real.

What happens next

After the Page exists and 100Hires is connected as an approved source, publish or re-save a job in 100Hires. Allow up to 24 hours for LinkedIn to pick it up, and up to 48 hours for a brand-new Page.

To check progress, open the job in 100Hires and go to the Find candidates tab. Each board reports its own status there, and if LinkedIn is still refusing the job the reason appears next to it.

If the job still does not appear after 48 hours, work through Why Aren't My Jobs Showing on LinkedIn.
